New regulations governing Pools

Do you have a swimming pool, or a kids wading pool, or an artificial one filled with water? Be careful! Starting from January 1st, 2007, you have to fulfil certain duties that are obligatory with regard to a pool that you might have.

If one chooses to ignore these new regulations, a syndicate of co-ownership might be stuck paying a fine of 2,000$ to 40,000$. A fine of 100$ to 20,000$ might also be imposed on persons responsible for the regular maintenance of a pool such as a manager, a janitor, or a superintendent.

It should be taken seriously.

On January 1st 2007, « Regulation governing the quality of water in swimming pools and other artificial pools » came into force. Said regulation applies to all syndicates of co-ownerships and all pools; small or large, or to any other hole filled with water in which a person can bathe.
